Practice event, so I got about 15 runs in. So. Much. Water. Fun to practice keeping momentum through the muck.
First official event is in 2 weeks. It's mixed surface and hopefully a little drier. Either way, it will be a blast and I can't wait.

nwrallyassociation.com is the group I’ve been driving with. Most of their events are in Toutle, but they’ll sometimes go to Bellingham.

What I wouldn't give to join. Drives me crazy that nwrally requires a hardtop.
Someday....

Cool. I ‘ll have to look into that. I’ve been wanting to get involved in Autocross or rallycross lately.

Both are fun. Rallycross can be brutal on your car, depending on what you drive, but I think it’s way more fun. If you do rallycross, definitely get some kind of skid plate.
For autocross, I highly recommend Bremerton Sports Car Club or Evergreen Speedway.

I would probably be driving my 08 Charger. Its a former cop car so its decently sturdy.

Yeah, I'd think a roll bar would be sufficient.

That car would be a lot of fun.

Yeah I know but the Miata can be repaired for pennies, and already has underbody protection, tall winter tires, and lots of good rallyx-style driving experience.

Buy one and rally it yourself ;)

I would love to but am unfortunately allergic to Swedish cars.
I actually just don’t have room for anymore strays right now

I was reviewing their rule books online and had a quick question about windshields as mine has a crack. This is their wording “Cracks are permitted to the outside layer of the laminated windshield only. A windshield that has experienced object penetration and/or has deformation is not allowed. Any form of windshield separation or delamination from the body of the car is not allowed.”
Do you know what they define as deformation or outside layer?

I’m not sure, but they are very responsive on facebook or by email if you reach out of them.
M
y guess is if they can feel the crack with their hand it might fail? My experience has been that they are fairly lax with tech inspections. If you show up and fail tech, just look for the red Neon and I’d be happy to let you ride along.

You were right about them being responsive. Very fast reply. What do you use for lettering on your car?

This, if you have time for it to arrive (there are probably cheaper options, too) : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DCYV0TG
Or this tape, depending on the color of your car: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DCYV0TG
If you care about your paint at all, I’d go with the tape because the magnets get very dirty.
